Giving and sharing is in our DNA. Since 2005 we have focused on initiatives to helps the homeless mainly through a soup kitchen. Lately, we have formalized this by setting up a Trust foundation (NPC) to support those at the bottom of the pyramid.
One Moment Foundation is an initiative that focuses on feeding the homeless. We, through OMF have been offering breakfast through a soup kitchen, cleaning up the inner city streets of Johannesburg, providing blankets to the homeless in winter, paying shelter fees to name a few.
Those who used to stand on the streets and some who used to collect recyclables for cash can't do it because of lockdown measures in place.
Recently OMF joined the Pick N Pay "Feed The Nation" collaboration to access more resources to reach more people, especially now that there's a Pandemic, the demand to help the destitute has risen as some can't make means to survive. OMF has adhered to the call come and help another human being in need even within a Pandemic.
